Rent tracking in a spreadsheet: template and when to leave it

A spreadsheet works for one or two units. It breaks at three points, always in the same order.

The columns you need

Tenant, unit, period, amount charged, amount paid, payment date and balance. The balance is always a subtraction, never a checkbox.

Where it breaks

A partial payment, a two-month advance and a lease expiring. No spreadsheet warns you that something is about to expire.

How to switch without losing anything

Start with one unit in Rentia and compare it for a month. Anything you log exports to Excel whenever you want.

Rentia does this for youRentia does the subtraction, counts the days late and exports everything to Excel.Save my free spot
